I first met Patrick & Jerald back in the Spring of 2011 when they contacted me about buying a home in Longmont. They were first time buyers and knew they wanted to be in Longmont because of its affordability, quality of life, and proximity to work, family and friends.
As we ventured into the house hunting process together, I knew that we were going to be good friends. It’s like making a new friend. You pretty much know within the first five minutes that you’re going to hit it off. We also had a mutual love for dogs, gardening, cooking yummy food and the band U2. It was DESTINY!
Anyway…back to real estate. After a few weeks of looking, we finally found “the one” and they made an offer on 2181 Hackberry Circle and we went under contract and closed on it a month later.
Even after closing, we stayed in touch and they became very dear friends to me and my husband, Mike. We’ve had them over for dinners and we’ve been to their house on numerous occasions as well. I’ve gone to Jerald for gardening & landscaping advice. And Patrick has been my go-to guy for cooking tips, recipes and mac tech support.
Patrick & Jerald wholeheartedly embraced being homeowners and truly made their house into a home. They made numerous updates throughout their new home and turned their huge backyard into an outdoor entertaining & gardening paradise.
Fast forward 7 years and I received a text from Jerald saying, “We’re thinking of making a move. Can you help us?” Turns out they wanted to fulfill a lifelong dream of living near the ocean and they were ready to make a move to California. While I was sad to hear they were leaving the state, I was more than happy to help them achieve that dream.
While their home was already immaculate, they quickly got their house in "showing condition" within a few weeks. Shortly thereafter I had it photographed and listed in the MLS and it sold a few weeks later.
Patrick & Jerald are now living their dream in sunny southern California and I couldn’t be happier for them!
Patrick & Jerald, I'm so thrilled for you. I loved seeing you both jump into this new adventure with all four feet (and 8 paws) AND with such enthusiasm! It takes guts to make a move like this. I know it wasn't easy and it was a very emotional roller coaster ride. But you got through it and I'm so happy for you both and I love seeing you guys enjoying your new home and new way of life! I love you and miss you!
XOXOXO
-Sally
PS. I LOVE this picture of you two. Hope it's okay to post. ;)
