First time home buyers, Phil & Abbie, contacted me through my website after doing a Google search for Realtors in the Denver metro area. Originally from the Midwest, they had a mutual love for the Rocky Mountains, skiing, and the Colorado way of life. Shortly after they got married, they moved to Colorado, got jobs and were excited to start their new life together. 
They were tired of throwing their money away on an expensive condo in the Thornton area, and decided that it was time to buy their first home. They were hoping for an updated single family home with a nice fenced yard for their dog, Yogi, and within a reasonable commute to their jobs in Thornton & downtown Denver.
After getting some basic info from them such as what they were looking for, where they wanted to be, etc. I put them in touch with my preferred mortgage broker, Kim Clancy with Mindful Mortgage. Kim was able to get them pre-approved within a few days, and we started house hunting shortly thereafter.
Sally and Kim made the home buying process a breeze. We were first time buyers and had we known it would be this easy and doable we would have done it a while ago!
Once we knew what they were pre-approved for, I created a search for them in the Denver MLS (multiple listing service) and soon they had a list of homes they wanted to see. With very low inventory in their price range, coupled with high demand, we knew it might take a little while to find the right place.
Sally was very attentive to our wants & needs. She never pressured us to put in an offer, or showed us houses we didn’t want to see. But at the same time, she was able to keep our expectations realistic in this crazy market. Sally was able to show us house we were interested in seeing in a timely manner.
Fortunately, Phil & Abbie were very patient, and flexible on both price and location. They were also super motivated and ready to go look at houses the day they appeared in the MLS.
After only a few weeks of house hunting, (and losing out on a couple homes in competitive bidding wars) we finally found a house that met most of their criteria and our offer was accepted!
The whole process went very smoothly, and Sally and Kim were able to get us closed in less than 30 days!
Abbie, Phil and their pup Yogi are now settled into their new home and enjoying home ownership!
