Last week was incredibly rewarding because I had the privilege of celebrating not one, but two closings with the same wonderful clients.
Their journey began last summer with the decision to sell their home at 1514 S. Proctor Ct. in Superior. They had lived in the Rock Creek neighborhood of Superior, Colorado for 15 years and with a couple of life changes coming up, they decided they needed to make a move.
From day one, they truly understood the assignment. Preparing a home for today's market takes more than simply putting up a "For Sale" sign. And in Rock Creek, (where homes sell upwards of $1M) they knew their home had to compete well with other homes on the market.
So, these sellers rolled up their sleeves and went all in. They spent months decluttering, painting, refinishing floors, patching drywall, donating and selling belongings, cleaning up the back yard and making thoughtful updates throughout the home. The biggest decision? Remodeling two bathrooms instead of settling for a simple cosmetic refresh. It wasn't always easy, but their hard work paid off in a big way.

Both the secondary kid's bath and primary bath had CARPET which absolutely had to be removed and replaced with tile. But once they started the demo process, they realized it made more sense to replace the vanities as well and re-tile the bath & shower.

Because they were willing to invest in their home before listing, we were able to position it at a significantly higher list price than originally planned—and the market rewarded them.
But that was only half of the story.
During the entire pre-listing and listing process we had been searching for the "unicorn" for their replacement home. They had very specific requirements which wasn't easy to find. Items on the "must have list" included:
- Chef's Kitchen - with gas cooktop, vented hood and double ovens. (He works as a commercial chef).
- Ground floor living (or a basement w/ walkout) for mother-in-law who was moving across the country to live with them.
- Large, private back yard (they were coming from a 1/3 acre lot with huge yard & garden).
Finally we found their dream home at 561 Breckenridge Dr. in Broomfield, and it truly checked every box on their wish list.
The stunning chef's kitchen will be the heart of countless family gatherings. The spacious primary suite provides the perfect retreat after a long day. And perhaps most meaningful of all, the walkout basement includes a private mother-in-law suite, allowing Mom to move in and be closer to family.
The two transactions had plenty of hiccups along the way, but eventually we closed on Proctor in the morning, then closed on Breckenridge in the afternoon.

Helping clients isn't just about buying and selling houses—it's about helping them build the life they've been dreaming about. Watching these clients move from the home they lovingly prepared for its next owners into a home that perfectly fits the next chapter of their lives is exactly why I love what I do.
Thank you for trusting me throughout this entire journey. It was an honor to help you every step of the way.
Here's to new beginnings, new memories, and many happy years in your beautiful new home! 🥂🏡
If you're wondering what it takes to successfully sell your home in today's market—or you're ready to find your own dream home—I'd love to help make that journey a reality.
